I am still here. The builder and I had a bit of a falling out and I had to back off on asking for updates and etc. Just to get him to finish the project for me.

I am happy to say that they have been completed and I picked them up Saturday.

I am at work and cannot get pics loaded etc. But when I get home I will update the thread with pics upon completion and might also try to get some pics taken now that they are hooked up. Wiring isn't all prettied up yet as I was anxious to start listening to them!

So stay tuned this evening...

Ok as promised, here are the pics of them "finished" in Brians shop before picking them up. I wont have time tonight to snap pics of them hooked up or etc. but it should give you an idea....

so there you have it! with crossovers and all drivers installed I'd put them at 75 lbs each easy. the pictures really do not do them justice IMO. to walk in and see them in person just sitting there is really just incredible. once I get things connected better and positioned better etc. I will update the pictures again.

Hey Echarlie,

Those turned out fantastic! =D> =D> =D>

As soon as you get them in their final location please shoot us another picture for the Hall of fame thread. These will make an excellent addition!

I have spent a lot of time studying the build technique of your OB's. They are great. I hope you don't mind, but they have confirmed some of the ideas I had for when I build mine. I own a pair of quad 63's that have a similar basic appearance. Your OB's are teriffic. Keep the pics coming. You just made my day. I have been waiting since the 26th of march to see them. That was your last post.

Bernie.

Thank you Darrel ! For you to really like them means ALOT to me!

@Bernie - I'm glad you like them too. I'm not sure what ideas you had or what my thread has helped with but I'm sure glad they did!

Few things more solid than butcher block oak. Nice. Well done Charlie. B_Y3P!
I think you've got yourself a pair of speakers that will bring many years of joy to your life.

Although.....It won't take long until you realize that I just lied to you.

What you have there is so much more than "just a pair of speakers". So much more indeed. B_</

Enjoy the journey.

That means alot to me coming from you Bob since you build these all the time as well. Thank you!

I gave them a nice workout last night with some dubstep. Tossed a little Deadmau5 at them. Handled it with ease. Then switched to Enya and it was beautiful.

I can't wait to get my sonos player and start streaming alot of other music that I don't have on cd through them.

I need to make a cabinet for the plate amp so I can make better connections to it. That's my next thing.

So far im loving them!

Ya know, I have no idea why I like Dubstep. It's everything about music that I despise. But for some reason, the first dubstep song I ever heard was Skrillix "First of the Year". and I watched the video (real loud).

The impact that video made is what got me hooked on the band and the genre. Although I don't have too much of it, what I have is addicting. So yea....I've had Dubstep at full volume many times, and just like you, played Enya right after.

Beautiful Duets.

Interesting how many unique ways there are to make an excellent pair of speakers.

Well done!!
